About the swim

What is the MS Swimathon?

The MS Swimathon is an action-packed fundraising challenge held in different locations across Queensland, supporting people living with MS.

Seven MS Swimathon events are held across the state in the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Toowoomba Region, Redcliffe, Central Queensland, Mackay and Townsville.

In teams of at least four people, you’ll take on a team swimming relay, while raising vital funds to provide services and support for over 4,000 Queenslanders living with MS and other neurological conditions.

By joining the MS Swimathon, you will also join our belief that no one should face MS alone.

You and your team will decide your distance and swim style - whether you swim one lap or 100 laps, it’s all about getting involved and making a difference. Outside of the pool, the day is action-packed, filled with activities, music & fun. Most importantly, it’s about bringing communities together to raise vital funds to support Queenslanders living with MS.

How does it work?

  1. Get your team together. Create a team with your nearest and dearest or join an existing team.
  2. Set yourself a fundraising goal. Help raise vital funds for Queenslanders with MS.
  3. Get the word out. Let everyone know you’re taking part in the MS Swimathon and ask them to support (they may want to jump in the pool and join your team)
  4. Join us at the pool. Come along on swim day and celebrate your incredible achievements with your team. It is an action-packed day- don’t miss out!
